Burrito San took Asian fusion to another level.
Honestly, I don’t even remember how I heard about them. I had my eye on them for awhile but because of their location, I didn’t put them on my list of places to visit soon. I don’t know about you, but paying as much as I did on my food for parking turns me away. But yesterday, I read one of their tweets mentioning you can pay $1 for parking if you spend a minimum of $10. All of the sudden, I found myself driving to the restaurant for lunch today.
For all you sushi lovers, this is the place to be if you want it super sized. If you’re not into sushi, there are other options. I walked up and noticed how eye catching their store front was. I spotted their take out window and thought that was pretty cool. During my entire time there, the employees were VERY friendly.
I first ordered the Asian Nachos. I couldn’t decide between the Beefy Korean and the Masala Chicken burrito. The woman behind the register kindly suggested the chicken so I went with that. From soda and tea to lemonade, sake and beer, their selection of refreshments caters to everyone. I had my eye on the lychee strawberry lemonade.
I decided to grab a window seat. I couldn’t resist trying my lemonade before the food was ready. I tasted all three flavors and it was not too sweet. I really liked it. I literally had to force myself from finishing it all at once.
I picked up my food after the buzzer went off. The Asian Nachos is made up of wonton chips, topped with shredded pork, avocado, tomato, and creamy cilantro sauce. I LOVED IT. When ordering your burrito, you have an option between brown rice and white rice. The Masala Chicken consists of crispy chicken, rice, potatoes, cabbage slaw, greens, and curry sauce wrapped in seaweed. The chicken was hot and juicy. They didn’t add too little or too much curry sauce. The size was perfect. It was really good.
I ordered their Thai donuts to take home. For some reason, I was amazed at how much they took care of the packaging lol. I tried one before I left. The donuts were sprinkled with powdered sugar and came with condensed milk. Ten pieces for only $4? Wow. Again, it was really good.
“Food With Thought”
Lunch was great. I got there around 12:30pm and by the time I finished, it was quite busy. I definitely do plan to come back.
